James D. Connolly Founds Conn-Weld Industries, Inc. Conn-Weld manufactures profile wire screen panels servicing the coal industry. Will later begin manufacturing decks to support screen panels. Purchase plant in Dublin, VA to produce wire.
We manufacture all stainless profile wire and shapes in our own mill located in Dublin, Virginia. Using special instrumentation, we monitor every inch of wire to ensure proper tolerances and consistency are maintained. Because of years of testing, we are able to determine the metallurgical content of every pound of wire for optimum screen life. From our Dublin plant, we ship wire to our main facility in Princeton, WV where every inch of it can be tracked to the raw material it was produced from.

Any unplanned downtime results in major costs throughout our entire supply chain from source to market, so any equipment in this supply chain must be very reliable. We have been very pleased so far with the Conn-Weld screens’ performance. We have seen increased results in dewatering performance which is critical in the dredging application. The Conn-Welds appear to be very durable and high quality in their construction.
